RAMMSUND

You won't be the biggest non-English-speaking rock band in the world unless the music and melodies are fat enough to stand on their own feet. In other words, you don't have to understand Rammstein's words. But when a group of friends from Oslo in the late 1990s started to dive deep into the texts, they realized that the world had to see this! Or at least Norway had to get it. There are limits to how much responsibility you can take on.

Thus he was born: The idea of Rammstein in Norwegian! It had to be hard, fat and brutal. And with a somewhat larger dose of good mood than what metal bands are usually known for. Moreover, if one were to protect the schwungen from the German texts, it was not enough with washed-out Bokmål. There is only one Norwegian language that is tight and tough enough to be worthy of the East German metal phenomenon. It had to be Nynorsk.

A worn out Spynorsk Mordliste and a couple of proofreadings by Språkrådet later, and the first Rammstein songs in Nynorsk were ready, one winter day in 2003. Rammsund was born.

Since then, there has been a battle, and there is hardly a scene in Norway where Rammsund has not missioned on behalf of Rammstein and Målsaka.
