In an era of progression, mindfulness, horoscope, and spiritualism, You Know Who has chosen regression. The gang has gone back to the garage and the sweaty rehearsal room from adolescence, and looked back at what initially made them start with this perpetual minus project, playing in a band.
Through a deep dive into the 70's Detroit rock, and the rock wave in Scandinavia in the 90/00's, while they have provided themselves with the sacred youth quake of 4.7 % and screwed the amplifiers up to a level that would make Spinal Tap proud. They are in with a desire to deliver a product that the middle class deservedly can open up another cold one, on Friday after a long week in the public sector.
You Know Who is reminiscent of Cro-Mags, if Cro-Mags had had a better upbringing, Minor Threat, if Minor Threat had drunk beer, and/or Burzum if he had received treatment earlier in the 90s. With this fresh in mind, you know what to expect, who delivers it, and where it comes from, You Know Who.
There is a delicate balance between sexy unfiltered and downright ugly. The five guys in You Know Who keep the balance, and so on." Dice throw 5 on the debut album "DUMB." - Jonas Vikingstad/Stavanger Aftenblad

Listening to the music of You Know Who is like being teleported to an alternative universe where you get incisions and Fernet Branca intravenously, while "C-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-city slang" by Sonic's Rendezvous Band thunders over the plant with jagged intervals." - Lars Arne Lindland/Stavanger Aftenblad
It smells like scorched guitar amplifiers. It's very loud. It kicks hard for itself!" - Jarand / Recommended by NRK Urørt
Taking a lot of what Turbonegro and Gluecifer did years ago and making it their own. Cool new band from Stavanger» - Guitar/NRK P13
As a warm-up we get excellent Ormabol and Rough Years.
Ormabol is a metal band from Stord/Fitjar that started in December 2022. They play extreme metal with a folk vocal touch, death vocals, hypnotic riffs, unpolished sound and sheer rawness. The debut album "Horg" came out in March 2024 to a solid reception among the audience. They have since played concerts with established metal bands such as Vinterbris, Avertia and Fall of Terra around western Norway. New songs are expected to be performed at upcoming concerts in 2025.
From the depths of the seven mountains rises a new beast. Rough years. A primal scream from a forgotten era, forged in darkness and wrath. It's not black metal. No punk. No, not hardcore. This is something older, a primordial roar that tore the soul in two. With rusty voice and heavy riffs, it shatters all hope. No mercy. Just a storm. Rough Years consists of souls from Glimmer Slate, Mordbrann, Brekkjern and Hadens. This isn't music. This is Ragnarok.
