GAPMINDER will hold its first concert at the Arena, Saturday 25 January, 2025!
The band has members from Stord and Haugesund, and recently released their second album "Elements" on Spotify and vinyl.
Gapminder has been around since 2008, and their debut album "Haematoma" was released in 2021. The band received very good feedback after a sold out record release concert in Haugesund earlier this autumn.
The musical style is characterized as cinematic, ambient, progressive post-rock. The authors Lars Ove Seljestad and Gunnar Lunde are important sources of inspiration for the band. Lyrics and voices of these are used in the music of "Elements".
The band has also made films for the songs. These will be shown on the big screen during the concert.
With them on stage they have Sandra Lindwall and Rebecca Hammersland on vocals.
