Guitarist Hedvig Mollestad has two Spellemann awards and has been appointed by Downbeat as one of the 25 who will shape jazz in the years to come. The music of Hedvig has by several possibilities been hotly featured in the NY Times, Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, MOJO, Uncut, Pitchfork and Jazzwise, and the trio, with Ellen Brekken on bass and Stord's big son Ivar Loe Bjørnstad on drums, has always been portrayed as a band that makes engaging music, regardless of genre.
