My neighbour

My neighbor is the band of writer and songwriter Vegard Markhus, and producer and guitarist Bjørnar Sangolt. For the concert they come as a trio, with Martin Hystad on drums. They also get good help from Fitjar Barnegospel. Welcome to a playful concert with fun!

My neighbor's goal is to make kids sing, dance, smile and laugh. In the lyrics you will find both humour and seriousness. You hear about dancing body parts, jumping animals and people in need of comfort. And if you want to learn some extraterrestrial vocabulary, you've come to the right place.

The band has released the albums "Rockesock" and "Everything is wrong", as well as "Stjernedryss", which is an EP with Christmas songs. The music is widely played on Radio Super, and my neighbor has also made the music for the TV series "My wild friends" on NRK Super. For the album "Rockesock" the band received the Spellemannsprisen in the category children's music.
